- Degrease any exposed bare timber by wiping with a cloth dampened with methylated spirits.
- Fill any minor defects, imperfections or open joints with Sadolin Woodfiller.
- Do not use Sadolin Superdec on substrates that have had water-repellent preservative treatments applied.
- Base stained and primed joinery – Lightly abrade, in the direction of the grain. Do not break through the surface coating.
It is recommended to perform a test patch on a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain, or when temperatures are below 8°C or above 25°C.
- Stir the product thoroughly and apply using a good-quality brush.
- Do not thin.
- Pay special attention to end grain, tops, and bottoms of the door and under cills for full weather protection.
- Apply two coats of Sadolin Superdec Opaque allowing 16-24 hours between coats.
